Gear Inspection Tools
Interfacing to several CAD and CMM tools has enabled not just the evaluation, but the further development of the production process. The tools can be used to define error according to recognised standards, but then to propose modification to the machining process. Simulation of physical testing such as measurement over balls and callipers over teeth can be simulated. Simulated single/double flank testing against virtual master or another measured gear can result in vast savings in time and resources. The tools can be used as as part of the Gear Production Suite or integrated with other bespoke machines and software tools.
Described here are the main analysis capabilities of the programs and the functions which can be carried out to improve inspected components.
